Calendula Seeds (Calendula Nova)
Calendula Seeds are ideal for growing your own bright and cheerful Calendula plants. Calendula (Calendula officinalis) is an easy-to-grow annual flower that produces beautiful orange and yellow blooms. The flowers bring plenty of colour to the garden and attract bees, butterflies and other beneficial insects.
Calendula grows to around 30–60 cm tall, depending on growing conditions. It makes a lovely addition to garden beds, borders, herb gardens and containers. With regular picking, the plants can produce flowers throughout much of the growing season.
For the best results, sow Calendula Seeds in fertile, well-drained soil. Ideally, choose a sunny position, although Calendula can tolerate some light shade. Keep the soil evenly moist while the young plants become established. Once established, Calendula is relatively hardy and can tolerate drier conditions.
The attractive flowers can be picked throughout the growing season. Traditionally, people have used Calendula flowers in herbal preparations, while natural skincare products also commonly feature them. The fresh or dried petals can add colour to salads, teas and other culinary preparations.
As well as being useful in the garden, Calendula provides colourful flowers that attract pollinating insects. Its easy-growing nature makes it a rewarding choice for both new and experienced gardeners.
Our Calendula Seeds are suitable for gardeners wanting to grow their own colourful Calendula plants at home.
