Horopito seeds (more will be in stock by March 2018). Horopito (Pseudowintera colorata) is a bushy shrub found in forests throughout New Zealand. It is also known as Pepper Tree. In the garden, it will grow 2-3m high. It has green narrow, leathery leaves speckled with red. The leaves have a very spicy, peppery flavour. It does well in good soil and can tolerate quite dry conditions although it will need watering during dry spells. Grows in sun or part shade.
