Reishi or Lingzhi (Ganoderma lucidum), is one of the best known and most well-studied medicinal mushrooms. It has been used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for at least 5000 years. It is known in China as Lingzhi and is often described as “The Mushroom of Immortality”. Most TCM practitioners agree that Reishi mushroom is one of the best adaptogens available.
