Our Pure Elderberry Extract (Sambucus nigra) is made from the fruit of the Black Elder tree, available as a fine powder or in vegetarian capsules. Also known as Elder, Black Elder, European Elder, or European Black Elderberry, this species produces glossy dark purple to black berries native to Europe and North America.
Elderberries have a long history of traditional use, particularly during the colder months, and are valued for their naturally high levels of anthocyanins and phenolic compounds that contribute to their deep colour and antioxidant properties.
