Stainless Steel Distiller

Stainless Steel Distiller for Essential Oils, Alcohol or Water Distillation.

Stainless Steel Distiller, handcrafted, high-quality stainless steel elaborate.

Create your own essential oils, hydrosols, tinctures, herbal extracts, distilled water or alcohol at home. All you need with this distiller is a heat source such as a kitchen element or gas cooker.

This distiller comes with a silicone tube for the water cooling system (simply attach the tube to a cold water tap). Distiller holds 12 litres per run. This means that you get about 4 litres of 50% alcohol per run if you fill it with a 15% wash (easy wash = sugar + water + yeast + a few days in the warmth). This is plenty for a small hobby home distiller!

With about 7kg of white sugar (about $10) or dextrose, yeast (about $4) and a few days of fermenting you could produce from 5 to 7 litres of 45% alcohol. After the first distillation the alcohol comes out about 30 to 55 % pure but if you put it through again it will produce up to 80% (careful! – this needs to be diluted again).

Try making a hydrosol with just a couple of handfuls of lavender flowers and 500ml of water. Within 20 minutes the distiller will produce a clear, pleasant smelling liquid with tiny amounts of essential oil visible on the surface.

Try distilling crushed citrus peel, – they are very rich in essential oils.

There are heaps of great and easy distilling instructions to be found on the internet. Try searching Google or Youtube for “basic distilling instructions”. This distiller does not come with instructions but is very easy to set up.

A great investment and quality that could last a lifetime with a bit of care.
