Organic Cocoa Butter from Peru is a natural wonder. Extracted from the seed of the Theobroma cacao tree, Cocoa Butter (also known as Theobroma Oil) is a solid fat that is extracted from the beans of the cacao tree through a process of cold pressing and refining. It has a yellow-brown colour and a faint chocolate odour and taste.

Theobroma Oil is a rich source of saturated fats and is composed of a mixture of triglyceride molecules, with the most common fatty acids being oleic acid, stearic acid and palmitic acid. These fatty acids work to give cocoa butter its unique physical properties. Its melting point is 34-38°C and it is solid at room temperature.

Theobroma Oi is widely used in the personal care industry and can be found in products ranging from lip balms, face and body lotions, soaps and cosmetics. It is a popular ingredient for those with sensitive skin due to its moisturizing and hydrating properties. Cocoa Butter is also a major ingredient in practically all types of chocolates (milk chocolate, white chocolate, and dark chocolate).
